Premiere- Matt Moran & The Palominos: Roll On

Today we’re excited to premiere the video for “Roll On,” the latest single from Matt Moran and The Palominos.

This video was captured on the road while Matt was touring with fellow artist Will Payne Harrison. It’s a stripped-down, acoustic session—just a voice, a guitar, and the open road behind it. The video in its simplicity captures the spirit of life as an independent musician: limited time, tight budgets, and the drive to create something meaningful in between shows, miles, and motels. It’s about doing what you can with what you have—playing your heart out and hoping the songs land with someone, somewhere along the way.

“Roll On” is an unplugged, raw reflection—part journal entry, part conversation with the road itself. It’s about motion and memory: where you're going, where you’ve been, and the folks you meet along the way. No frills, no big production—just Matt in boots, a cowboy hat, tucked in jeans, and a plaid shirt, singing from the heart as the camera follows him, switching from different angles.

When I asked Matt what this song meant to him and what he hoped listeners got from it, he had this to say,

"Some songs we write for others, and some songs we write for ourselves in the hopes that we reach others. This song is definitely the latter–a story about what being on the road means to me.

I hope that the earnest feeling of the song reaches that part of you that is part adventurer, part vagabond, and a part of you that just needs to go home.

We’re all weary travellers on this road of life, so come on in and sit for a while."

Matt Moran and Will Payne Harrison are currently on their Sad Cowboy Summer tour through Oklahoma, Colorado and Wyoming. If they’re in your area, make sure you catch them.

We’ve included a poster of their remaining two tour dates below.
