Lucero with Jade Jackson: Blind Tiger

Lucero with Jade Jackson: Blind Tiger

February 16th, 2020, Blind Tiger, Greensboro, North Carolina - Lucero played two shows in the ol’ North state last week on their first tour of 2020. One of them being the Blind Tiger, a very popular music venue in Greensboro, North Carolina. Reaching a good part of the East coast on this tour, and then some, Lucero is starting off the year with a solid run of shows right out of the gate.

Kicking off the night was Jade Jackson, a country-rock singer-songwriter with two studio albums under her belt. She got the crowd ready with her rock-rooted songs and raspy voice that proved to be the perfect fit with Lucero. She will be touring with Lucero for all of this 2020 tour, and has supported the likes of Hayes Carll, Chris Shiflett, and later on this year, Amanda Shires.

The Memphis based band, Lucero, took the stage that night and instantly had the crowd. The band played their first show in 1998 and since then has amassed a substantial following all across the state and beyond; including North Carolina, where it is said Ben Nichols, the lead singer/guitar player for the band wrote their song “Best Girl” in Winston-Salem, while visiting his brother attending college.

With 9 studio albums, the latest one being “Among The Ghost,” released in 2018, the band has not lost their touch even after playing together for over two decades.
