Jack Waters and The Unemployed, a country blues and southern rock fusion, are Jack Waters on guitar and lead vocals, Mike Satawake on lead guitar and backing vocals, Tyler Romine on drums and backing vocals and Luke Mullenix on upright and bass guitar. The Unemployed formed in Oklahoma City in 2016 when Jack Waters moved from behind the drum set where he had spent the previous 20 years touring the country, strapped on a guitar and started taking center stage. Luke Mullenix joined in followed shortly thereafter by Mike and Tyler. The name The Unemployed stems from the emphasis placed by all members on making music the main priority in their lives not working for the man despite the fact that none of the members quite know who exactly the man is. After calls from fans to “Get a Job” The Unemployed is indeed working, only on an EP rather than at some 9 to 5. The road dogs of The Unemployed have collectively toured the nation with a specific focus on the Texas country circuit and are ready to take their twist on rock and country back out on the highway. Hey, it beats working for a living.... https://www.jackwatersandtheunemployed.com/bio/

The band released their self titled EP, Jack Waters and The Unemployed, on May 31, 2018. The five track album features a powerful sample size of the tremendous talent and potential that this group has to offer to the music scene. The first song on the album, See the Devil Run, is a soulful cover originally written and featured by Carter Sampson on her first solo acoustic EP, Thirty Three, released October 7, 2014. Waters provides a moving and passionate vocal to the tune that makes it his own. Mike Satawake also elevates the song with a bluesy, solo lead guitar contribution. See the Devil Run sets the tone for what is an absolutely amazing EP by Jack Waters and the Unemployed.
